Expert claims that King Charles withholds Princess Lilibet’s third birthday present until the family dispute has resolved
King Charles’ relationship with his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, who inherited the royal titles after the death of their great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, is significantly impacted by the continuous conflict among the royal members. The monarch spends a lot of time with Prince William’s children, but he hasn’t had the chance to get close to Harry’s children.
Charles “has had discussions” about going to see Harry and his family in the United States “at some point in the future,” according to the Mirror.
“There is no doubt if it goes ahead he would build in time to visit his youngest son and his grandchildren, but there are mountains of planning to be overcome before that becomes even a remote possibility,” Royal expert Tom Quinn told the publication.
The royal expert continued, “It’s definitely possible that he would make a discreet private visit to Harry and the children in California.” “He despises the thought that Archie and Lily won’t remember him as the kind, kind grandfather he wants to be, but he is desperate to see them.”
The King’s meeting with Archie and Lili on British soil is still up for debate because their mother, Meghan Markle, has made it clear that she does not want her kids to travel to their father’s country of origin due to security concerns. She and Harry were not granted taxpayer-funded royal security when in the UK after they resigned from their positions as working royals.
Lilibet Diana celebrated her third birthday on June 4th. Orlando Bloom, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Oprah Winfrey were among the celebrities who reportedly attended the celebration, which was hosted at Harry and Meghan’s house in Montecito, California.
There were no British royal family members present to join Lili in celebrating. According to the Mirror, King Charles gave his granddaughter a gift in addition to birthday wishes even though he was not there.
The Telegraph was informed by royal expert Tom Quinn that King Charles “had no intention of completely ignoring Lilibet’s birthday, so he has sent a gift along with a message.”
Quinn further asserted that the monarch was holding off on giving Lili a more important present because he wanted to wait until the family dispute was settled. His gift to Prince George was a gorgeous wooden swing engraved with George’s name. He intends to give Lilibet a similar item next year, but not this one. And not until the conflict inside the family has subsided,” Quinn clarified. Quinn asserted that the absence of royals from the birthday celebration was due to their not getting invites.
In the meantime, Harry’s close friend gave an explanation for his choice to exclude his family members from the guest list. “Harry was fairly certain he wouldn’t have wanted them there, and he knew they wouldn’t come anyhow. However, he is quite disappointed that Archie and Lilibet are unable to have any sort of relationship with their cousins as long as his family dispute persists, he was cited as saying. We sincerely hope that the royal family will be able to right their wrongs in the future.
