Harrison Ford’s Recent Appearance Raises Health Concerns
For his efforts at Lucasfilm, Harrison Ford was recognised with a Disney Legend award at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California. The 82-year-old winner showed up at the event recently, sporting a grey two-piece suit over an off-white shirt and his grey hair parted to the side.
Ford was asked to write his name after ceremoniously moulding his handprint in cement, but he found it difficult to steady his hand. When event photographs appeared on social media, admirers were happy for Ford but could not look past his weak appearance.
While some people voiced worry over Ford’s appearance as news agencies aired highlights from his honoured moment, Ford’s fans cheered him on social media. One person questioned, “Is anyone else concerned that one hand was more pressed than the other?” Another commented that it was hard to see Ford so elderly.
Ford praised Disney for their dedication to excellence and offered a heartfelt statement about the honour of being a storyteller while accepting his prize. “Happy birthday to my hero! So very well earned!” exclaimed one Instagram fan, complimenting the screen icon on his most recent accomplishment.
Ford’s most well-known role was as Hans Solo in Star Wars during the 1970s, but he had credits in shows like American Style, Gunsmoke, and Ironside as early as ten years ago. Ford became well-known thanks to Star Wars, which also gave him other opportunities. He continued to play the same part in the subsequent films.
Steven Spielberg and Lucasfilm, a division of Disney, worked together to get him his second franchise role in Indiana Jones. Ford has resisted retirement despite his advanced age and a few health concerns, including a broken ankle sustained during filming, claiming he feels ill when he is not working.
