Brandi gave her fans a glance at her swollen and uneven face on December 7 when she posted an uncensored, raw selfie on X (previously Twitter). The message was immediately inundated with well-wishes and worried remarks from her supporters. Many others were left wondering how the reality star’s appearance had changed.

Brandi described the circumstances in her essay, writing: “What happened? I wish I knew that I’ve spent nearly every dime I have trying to figure it out and have been in and out of the hospital for the past year and a half,” she said. She continued by saying that some medical professionals think she has a parasite causing her facial swelling, while others think it’s stress-related oedema. “I personally say it’s Bravo,” Brandi joked.

In 2023, Brandi’s health issues started. She revealed to Entertainment Tonight earlier this year that she had serious problems that affected her speech, food taste, and even her face, which would swell up a lot. She saw several doctors and was given a diagnosis of stress-induced angioedema after describing symptoms that resembled anaphylactic shock. This is the cause of my misery and depression 🙁. I won’t even show you the photo of it sinking in. You will die from stress. How is your wealth? People, please take care of yourself. Bravo. At this point, I couldn’t even work if I wanted to.

Her admirers were left perplexed and anxious, wondering what had caused these serious health problems. In the past, Brandi had attributed her health issues to the stress brought on by her continuing legal disputes, especially the drama involving Bravo.
